The Warriors are +8 road dogs in this game. This is the first line I’ve seen this year that seems to account for the woeful state of the Warriors front-line, not to mention the mental state of Jackson and Ellis.
It could also be a reflection of the fact that Milwaukee is going for its fourth straight win, and Brandon Jennings has captured the attention of the bettors. The 10th pick in last years draft has been the major surprise of the season so far. He is on fire, averaging 20 points and 5 assists.
Jennings’ matchup with Monta Ellis will of course be the story of this game. Monta has struggled badly against good defensive teams this year, and Scott Skiles is putting a very good defensive team on the court this year. And Monta is playing a road back-to-back after playing virtually every minute last night.
The other key matchup will be Mikki Moore and Anthony Randolph against Milwaukee’s behemoth Andrew Bogut. Bogut appears to be healthy and playing well this season. Look for Milwaukee to pound it inside and try to get our lonely stick figures in foul trouble.
This ain’t the Knicks.
