Could have been a win, should have been a win, I don’t really care about that at this point in the season. The Warriors are virtually assured of having a top seed. I was just grateful for the opportunity to finally see a great, competitive game. And to see the Warriors under pressure. We need games like this, against teams like this great Bulls team, to get a glimpse at some of the issues the Warriors will face in the playoffs.  Continue reading

The Running of the Bulls: Warriors 101 Bulls 90

Keith Smart is driving me crazy.  The guy has done everything possible to torture me this season.  Which includes his frequent habit of coming up with extraordinary coaching performances immediately after abysmal coaching performances.  I was in despair of Keith Smart after the last game, not for the first time this season. Now, I’m confused again. But confused in a good way.

This convincing 101-90 Warriors victory over the powerhouse Chicago Bulls was easily the best of the season. And it began and ended with the coach.

Pre-Game Jitters: Warriors at Chicago Bulls

Warriors are +6.5 at Chicago.  Let’s see. Warriors on a road back-to-back, their 4th game in 5 nights. David Lee was gashed to the bone, and has stitches in his shooting arm. It will probably be stiff as a board. Monta’s back will probably be stiff as a board. Stephen Curry’s ankle will probably be stiff as a board. Home and a soft bed has got to be a pretty appealing thought right now. If ever there was a game to take off The Warriors Bet, this would be it, right?
